I moved in in 2004 and it was great! The manager at the time was so helpful and had me in there within the week. She always knew my name and apartment #. Then it came time to renew, and I did. I loved it. Slowly things began to slack, a new manager had come in. It wasn't BAD, just not the really good stuff I was used to, so I just let it go. Then I renewed, even finally got to move to a 3 bdrm that I had been waiting for! This is when things got bad... First off, the apartments have huge rooms, which is great. I'll have to number these: 1-Air conditioner wasn't really working at all. It worked like a fan but no cool. Our home was never under 80 degrees for the first 2 months in the new place and this can make breathing quite hard for a baby with asthma (who even needs a nebulizer to help!). They finally after me calling every other day, sent someone to check it from a 'sister apartment' and said our freon was contaminated and just needed to be changed out. Thats it! 2-ANTS!!! We saw a few ants here and there before we even moved in and told them since we did have an ant problem at our last apartment that they fixed. They said they sent someone, still ants. Again, still ants. It started with small brown ants and turned into fire ants. Now, with the baby thats allergic to ants, she would get puss filled huge bumps all over her body. We had them everywhere! We even had to throw our things in the panty and cabinets since ants infested them. They did a phantom treatment and still, ants. Kids would come over to play games and would get bitten up just sitting there! I had caged pets that I had to change out every day no matter where I put them since overnight like 30-50 or so ants would pull up residency in there. Still, to this day I'm typing this, ants! We can't even leave the food in the oven instead of cooktop, they're in there also! Isn't that a health hazard? Ants in the stove, cooktop, dishwasher, bath, our beds! She gave me the name/number to contact the pest control company ON MY OWN TO GET THE PROBLEM SOLVED!!! UGH! 3-Also, we moved in and didn't have a fridge! WE had to move our fridge from our other 2nd floor apt to this 2nd floor apt BY OURSELVES! We lost food cause they said they would do it this day and time and never came! I made them sign a paper since we had to stating if anything gets damaged/damages it we're not to blame. They put 'neither party' is to blame. 4-Cracked windows that they have YET to replace! 5-Sliding door to patio sticks. We can't even open it anymore. 6-Ceiling fans, we had to wait for 3 months to get one in the living room. New maintenance came and checked my mothers and said that it was ready to fall down! He poked around the wood and it was just crumbling down! Mine has a short and sizzles when its ever on (it flickers off and on) There's alot more but smaller things. And to add on, I asked her for a number or contact information for the management company and she just hung up on me! Flat out hung up. This new manager is NOT management material, I'm wondering where the 1st one went! |
