Apartment Review for Austin Pointe - San Antonio, TX

Let's start off with having my car broken into in broad daylight. The neighbor who always had his surround sound/stereo/game system blasting very loudly until past 2am every other night, and our family had just welcomed a newborn baby, with two toddlers at home already. This issue was reported to office multiple (6+) times with no action whatsoever. Don't even believe there's 'night security' because we asked them to stop and warn our neighbor about the noise and they never came - ever. Our master bedroom's tub had a clogged tub for months. Maintenance would only pur liquid plumber down the pipes and leave. They finally fixed it after about 4 months. I had to write a letter to management and called their national head office to get this resolved. The a/c broke down a couple of times during summer and one solution was to put a huge hole with chicken-wire on the closet door that covers the a/c compressor. The dishwasher broke down and soaked our carpet. They split the carpet and dried it for 2 days. Once dry, it smelled moldy and had a huge tear that you could see a mile away. Let's not mention the roaches and ants. It was bad. I will state that we had a fumigation person come by once a month and spray, but I think he was spraying sugar-water. I don't know. The gates were almost always open and broken. We were charged for gate cards that we just decorating our cars. The main pool was always mossy and green, a scene from a bayou movie if I ever saw one. Even though the other pool was closed after dark, we had the bad luck of being next to it and there was always a drunk party going on. We had to report this to SAPD a couple of times. The ladies in the office are decently polite, but that's about it.
