Apartment Review for Cape Cod Apartments - San Antonio, TX

Where do I begin! The pool is never cleaned. It looks like a swamp all the time. The hot tub connected to the pool has not worked in 3 years. The pool water and the hot tub water is appalling. The trash is ALWAYS overflowing from the dumpsters. There are 50+ tenants who live here and there are only 4 dumpsters. Maintenance department is a joke. Took them 3 weeks to come look at my leaking sink. Because of their lack of a timely response mildew and mold began to grow in the cabinet under the sink. When I had complained about it they told me I would have to pay someone to come and take care of it. If your rent is not in their hands by noon on the 1st day of the month they charge you a $150 late fee! The parking situation is horrible. EVERYTHING that is not a parking space is a fire lane. There is not enough parking!!! We sometimes have to park in the fire lane. Which results in a pile of tickets given out by the police. The condition of the units are horrible. A few days after we moved in we tripped a breaker. I could not get to the breaker panel because some idiot decided to paint over it. Try opening a pained shut breaker panel in darkness with no flashlight. Walls are paper thin. You can even hear your next door neighbor sneeze!. Office staff is very rude and think they are always right when they are not. They tried to charge me with a $150 late fee when then deposited my check into their account. The checked my back and they said someone deposited the check on the 1st of the month at 10:27AM. Upon giving them a notarized copy of the check and when it was deposited/cashed they still told me they did not receive my rent and tried to argue with me, in front of potential residents. I am moving to another apartment complex. The management is rude, insulting and downright ignorant. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!!!!!
