Apartment Review for Cheyenne Village Apartments - San Antonio, TX

My family is living in these apartments under section 8. I know we have lowered rent and stuff, but that doesnt mean we dont deserve proper maintenance and filth. We have countertops from the SEVENTIES, cracks in our ceiling that are just waiting to give out & cave in, dirty carpets...the MAINTENANCE MANS whole freaking FAMILY lives here, they got brand new carpet for their apartment when they moved in, brand new screen door (we didnt even know we could have screen doors), they get repairs AS SOON as they need it because theyre FAMILY. We have a bad bathtub leak to the point we have to keep the water running a little bit to keep water puddles from forming around the tub AND to keep water from flooding out of the floorboard/wall in the kitchen. YES THE KITCHEN. We had towels trying to keep the water from flooding everywhere. The maintenance man came in, tried to blame it on the ac (he blames almost all problems on the ac), laughed at us & said 'oh ill fix it tomorrow, youre not going to drown' and left to get back to his party. Its been almost 3 days since then, when we asked about the repair he said that LYND company didnt want to pay for the parts because they 'dont have the money to pay for it'. What the hell? Ive been on a waiting list for almost 2 years to get into a one bedroom apartment & his family gets to move in in a week? SCANDALOUS. I am so angry right now, I know we're low income but that doesn't mean we deserve to be treated like this.
