Apartment Review for Escalante - San Antonio, TX

I can't say enough bad things about this complex. I moved into a filthy unit that needed many things repaired, had bugs and mice. Nothing was ever done....except by me. My car had been broken into more than once. My garage was broken into and I was admonished for the damage done to the door by the thief. At one point, they mixed up my lease with another tenant and served me an eviction notice. When I went to inquire about it, the mistake was found but not fixed. No one apologized or seemed to care and next month I received the same notice (sigh). The garbage collection is terrible. The "security gate" is a joke and is almost never closed. Non residents from all around use the pool, that is closed frequently for lack of maintenance. I was promised in writing a high speed wireless connection that didn't exist. The staff is adversarial at best. do not believe anything they tell you. You will *never* get to talk to anyone with any authority. Do not walk, run from this very poorly managed apartment.
