Apartment Review for Fountainhead - San Antonio, TX

The Fountainhead apartments are affordable and maintenance has been prompt and acceptable except for my lousy washer/dryer stack unit- the thing is unbalanced and shakes the whole building. Maintenance came to assess it and said it was being overloaded. As an experiment I washed (1) pair of socks in the thing and it still shook the apartment. Imagine how bad it is with 2 pairs of jeans in it (and that's all that will fit- it's for pygmies). October 2007- some jackass stole my motorcycle. Consider yourself lucky that I wasn't home at the time! Not a surprise though- this place is known for vehicle break-ins and cycle theft. Obviously the security gates are over-rated and the other tenants let anyone in. If you have to badge in the gates, you should have to badge out too. Needless to say I'm moving out of here soon, out of the nouveau ghetto. These apartments and tenants are ok, not great, but the surrounding communities picked up more than a few Katrina refugees. Watch out.
