Positive Experience Overall
Review Date: 2/12/2009 Reviewer: Anonymous
Please note all previous reviews are old. I have lived here for almost a year with my husband and 2-year-old. For the most part, our experience at Indian Hollow has been positive. The staff and maintenance people are all very nice and helpful. Our a/c went out once and it was fixed within a few hours (not sure how many because we left the apartment for a while). We have loved having an attached garage with storage space and the big kitchen with lots of elbow room. We hardly ever heard noise through the walls--except for the opening and closing of the garage doors below our apartment which wasn't too bad. You can hear everything through the windows, though, but ours look over the parking lot and main thruway. We are moving because we can't afford the rent--even in a smaller 2-bedroom. If you are looking for a 2-bedroom, rent a flat. We are in the 2-bedroom townhouse: garage on bottom floor; living, kitchen, 1 bed and 1 bath on 2nd floor; and master bed and bath on 3rd. Heating and cooling 2 stairwells--especially the very-high-ceiling one up to the master--was brutal. ($250 during the summer months.) Having a flat should make a big difference. Even with the reported break-ins, I've never really felt unsafe. Of course, having a dog has made a huge difference there. I have never noticed a street lamp, outer hall light or light beside a door that was out. There is also a security system for your apartment if you choose to use it. Oh, about that RATS review: I've seen the same review under at least one other apartment. I think someone was trying to get his jollies off. I've seen 2 bugs since I've been here and that's it. The front of the property by the clubhouse is beautiful with flowers and the shrubs throughout are nice. I do wish they'd invest in some sod for some areas. Outside our apartment is a patch of dirt with hardly any grass. When it rains or the sprinklers have been on it turns into a mud pit, which is crappy when my dog has to go out. |
