Apartment Review for Springhill Apartments - San Antonio, TX

I have something to say because my concerns were dismissed by the apartment manager. I have lived in an apartment that was broken into. It was several years ago, but I still remember what the signs are. People would stand around and watch my habits. They would walk as close to my windows and porch as they could. They would come to my door asking for information or they would come with an empty container, which they did not take to the other apartments around me. They would not introduce themselves, therefore I felt they just wanted to see what I had on my porch, or in my apartment. They seemed needy, or in search of something else. Or they would come to my vehicle when I am moving in and look around at what they could see instead of at my face, pretending to want to help. Also, these people would quickly come out of their apartment when seeing me pull up with stuff to move in, and just watch what I was doing. They would not say hi or wave. Now this could be considered innocent?!, like the apartment manager here said. It is considered okay here to walk by with a beer in your hand many times a day. And of course it is okay for many people to sit on a porch with these beers because they live here, I assume. But when my vehicle is broken into and then things are taken out, my first assumption is that the people watching me are the ones that did it, because I am white. I have had many, many relationships with dark skinned people and I know that their anger is directed at white people who seem to have more than they have. And with good reason. Dark skinned people have been targeted by many, many people. They have been beaten and killed by white cops. There are many, many more dark skinned people in prison than white people. In fact, in is such a well known fact, that dark skinned comedians make jokes over and over about knowing they are going to be stopped by a cop while driving. In fact, a dark skinned Harvard scholar, Henry Louis Gates, was arrested July 16 of this year because he was having a hard time getting into his house. Somebody called the cops on him and the cops would not listen to him when he told them he lived there. I have experience with these behaviors, but the manager dismissed me and was very close to being disrespectful. He did not ask if my concerns come from a past experience. He was not empathetic. He made it seem as if I was being a racist. I know that I am not a racist because I believe that we are all beings of light. I believe that God is my mother and father and that skin color is something chosen for us as an experience. We are always light beings that live forever, all of us. Very few people can say this. I know because I used to be a healer and a person is not able to send energy or receive it if they are judgmental. The apartment manager says that we have a black president and therefore people are not prejudice anymore. Not so. A dark skinned president does not relieve the everyday stresses and prejudices of the public. In fact, a person can go online and see many, many stories about the people that hate Obama. I have even seen these stories on TV. 65,800,000. This is the number of hits I received online when I googled ‘people who hate obama’. Many of the reasons for this hate is because of his color. Mr. manager, I think that you were calling me stupid when you said that America is not prejudice because we have a black president. You must have thought that I did not have the internet, or even the brains to get the internet. You worry me very much being the manager of these apartments.
