Apartment Review for The Enclave At 1550 - San Antonio, TX

I'm very happy here. I am a good renter and I'm not leaving The Enclave at 1550 and my neighbors aren't leaving either. I've been here almost a year and it's the best rental experience I've had...ever. The Enclave is income restricted and chooses residents with care. The new management is solving the problems of the past, and the property is looking better than ever. When I was in graduate school, here in San Antonio, I worked as a "mystery shopper" for one of the apartment magazines (I'm not allowed to say which one.) I have seen the inside and outside of nearly every decent apartment from Bandera to I-35, north of downtown. I knew what I was looking for when I moved back to San Antonio and began to shop for a place to live. I wanted a safe place with modern amenities. I wanted nice neighbors. I wanted covered parking. I wanted to be able to walk to my apartment without tripping over some toddler's "Big Wheel" or "Barbie Dolls". I wanted a quiet place without loud parties or fights at the neighbor's. I wanted an apartment with lot's of windows and enough privacy so I could open the blinds and let the sunshine in. I wanted to bring my pets (all of them) to live with me. I wanted a place where I could even invite my folks over and know they wouldn't feel threatened by loser neighbors. These things are what I've found at The Enclave at 1550. I love living here and don't plan to leave unless I have to leave San Antonio. High rise living isn't for everyone. It's not for you if you like to have big barbeques and beer busts. It's probably not a great place for kids because there is no playground. Students who are still in the party-party-party mode probably won't like it here either, but for regular working folks or retirees, this is a wonderful, secure place with advantages you won't find anywhere else. (My personal favorite is the trash chute on every floor...no more dumpster runs!) This is a great place to call home.
