Apartment Review for The Estates Of Northwoods - San Antonio, TX

There is no close parking. For one building w/ 8 apartments, there were 7 parking spaces available, 4 that are for very small compact cars. My car was dented so many times by other vehicles b/c there is no space. The maintenance was good b/c I had met a couple of the workers and would present my problems to them. If I went to management about any issues the first response would always be defensive.They will nickle and dime you for anything. My husband's gate opener stopped working a couple months after we moved in they wanted to charge him $5 dollars for a battery we bought in a pack of 2 for $2. I could understand if we had gotten it w/ a new battery but goodness! That is pretty much where I figured out we were going to have issues. They'll raise the price of garbage disposal and water when ever they feel like it and when you move out charge double. I must say that when work was done, the clean up was on me! Therefore, I did not ask for work to be done unless it was an emergency or I had a few problems that needed fixing. I would also like to add, do not expect to recieve your deposit back. Be very mindful of every crack, stain and dent in walls, flooring and cabinetry when moving in b/c they will gig you on it when you move out, whether it was there or not! I must say that I felt very safe living at these apartments but I still think that they charge way too much for the space you get. The walls are built pretty thick, I didn't get too much outside noise, maybe a little squeaking from the neighbors walking upstairs. I didn't read up on apartment reviews until after I signed. I sure wish I had! I found out after the fact that management sucked and parking was a joke. I'm just glad that I only signed for a year. Never will I go back to an apartment. It was my first time and most likely my last!
