The apartments look nice but looks can be deceiving. Maintenance is horrible and it takes weeks to get anything done. Usually you have to bring up that it is a safety or security issue to get the required work done. The wiring is crappy. I replaced over 5 light bulbs a month on average. Security is horrible. They give you remotes to the garage. The problem is often there are other people with the same frequency nearby so you will arrive home or wake up in the morning to find you garage door open. This gives people access to break into your house without being seen and they will probably just walk in because people rarely lock the door from the garage. I also know three people who had their vehicles stolen from this place. If you do decide to move in make sure you get copies of all paperwork before you leave the office. They try to avoid getting you the paperwork. I had to ask several times. Also make them fill out a maintenance request right in front of you and give you a copy of the paperwork. I had a vent that was taken off the bottom of my garage door which left my garage totally unsecure. We asked to have it fixed and it took three weeks for them to do a five minute job. We had to bring up that it was a safety issue, that a stray cat had babies in our garage and that due to this we now had rodent problems. All of this went unanswered. When we moved out they sent me a biull for $1,082 in repair. Some of these charges were legitimate. I was not able to clean prior to leaving due to mover taking all my stuff so I was ok with those charges. Additionally, my dogs had chewed the carpet in one corner so I understood having to replace the carpet. However, they tried to charge me for the garage stairwell carpet which had been chewed by the rodents (that I had informed them of) and $10 per light bulb they replaced (despite my constant maintenance request and complaints. I had over $1500 of goods destroyed by the rodents in my garage. I spoke with an attorney and he informed me that I have sufficient evidence of negligence on their part so they actually owe me despite the other cleaning and damage that I owe for. Also if you have pets make sure you are clear on how much you owe them. I had two dogs. I paid $10 a month per per pet as "pet rent". I also paid a $750 deposit. $500 they say is non-refundable. Now they will give you the impression that you actually get something for this $500 but when you move out they argue that is not the case. They say the $500 is for the privilege to have your pet in the apartment. It doesn't cover any damage, it's not rent, it's not cleaning...nothing. Just the right to have you pets there. Obviously it is extortion. I have loved every place I ever lived except this place.
